With school back in session, we are compelled to discuss the process of education in general, as the means to create virtues. According to Kardec, education, especially moral education, consists in the art of forming character; that which creates habits, because education is the sum of acquired habits.

Sep 15 – Friends of the Homeless National Resource Center – New Educational Projects
            – Dianne Fanti  (Guest Speaker)
Dianne Fanti is the founder and director of Friends of the Homeless National Resource Center (in Baltimore). She will speak about the new projects of the organization and how we can engage in it.

Sep 22 – Obstacles, Experiences, Hope: Ingredients of our path to progress

“Progress is the sum of problems solved.  Evolution is overcome barrier.  Difficulty is a measure of resistance.  Tribulation is the crucible of faith”, says Chico Xavier.  Francisco Candido Xavier and his spiritual mentors Emmanuel and Andre Luiz left a great legacy of teachings to help us to face, to overcome and understand the obstacles, the good and bad experiences while in our evolution path in the planet earth.

Leo will continue the study series of the book “Thought and Life” by Emmanuel/Chico Xavier.  Come and join us to learn more about Tolerance, Prayer and Obsession from a Spiritist perspective through the words of Emmanuel.
