Kirsten will begin the study series of the book, “Times of Health & Conscientiousness” by the spirit Joanna de Angelis, through the medium Divaldo Franco. In this talk she will discuss the introduction & Chapter 1 entitled “Deciding to be Happy”. Join us!
MAR 13 – Humility: Is It a Helpful Trait?

More than 2000 years ago, Jesus in the Sermon of the Mount proclaimed to the humanity the Nine Beatitudes, the first of them being “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven“ (Matthew 5:3), inviting us to embrace humility in our evolutionary path. More recently, psychologists are finding fascinating links between humility and our ability to learn, to be effective leaders, and our readiness to engage in prosocial behavior.

In the Gospel According to Spiritism, Allan Kardec describes unshakable faith as the one founded on understanding and reasoning. “Unshakable faith is the kind that can stand face to face with reason in all human epochs.” Based on Kardec’s books and modern science, we will discuss how reason and faith can lead us towards the same direction of understanding both our physical and spiritual worlds.
