May 02 – Faith Grounded in Reason

This talk explores how logical reasoning and spirituality can work together in a meaningful way, based on the Spiritist ideas. It encourages people not to follow beliefs blindly, but to think for themselves. It also shows that strong spiritual beliefs should make sense and hold up to careful thinking and scientific questioning.

May 09 Honor Your Parents For a More Fulfilling Life

This talk explores how honoring and valuing our parents can lead to greater inner peace, stronger family bonds, and a more fulfilling life through gratitude, understanding, and forgiveness.

May 16 Spirit and Matter
@ 5 pm Sabrina Elias (guest speaker)
This talk will take you on a journey through the powerful connection between science and religion, unveiling, through the lens of Spiritism, the fundamental elements of the universe: God, spirit, and matter. Complex ideas are explained in a simple and accessible way, as we also explore the intriguing story of how Planet Earth was formed and its broader significance.

Sabrina Elias is a fifth-generation Spiritist who has been a member of the Allan Kardec Spiritist Society of Maryland (AKSS-MD) since 2016. She presents on topics in both English and Portuguese, sharing her love for the intersection between science and Spiritism. She teaches Spiritist education to children and helps coordinate charitable activities at AKSS-MD. She is also part of the U.S. Spiritist Medical Association. Professionally, Sabrina holds a doctoral degree in nursing and works as a Research Nurse.

This activity will be followed by a Light Dinner Fundraiser

May 30 Spiritism: A New Perspectives

This talk presents Spiritism as an evolving framework for understanding life, consciousness, and human purpose, offering a rational and compassionate view of the soul, life after death, and moral progress.
