Apr 01 – The Workers of the Last Hour
@ 5 pm – Julio Padovan
Christ is our ultimate model of constructive behavior. His words will echo throughout history. Every one of them is of immense value to us. Two explanations of the parable of the Workers of the Last Hour are provided in The Gospel According to Spiritism. Although beautiful in their content, neither explanation discusses the last excerpt of the parable. We should endeavor to understand every nuance of His thoughts. In this lecture, we will refer to the two explanations and discuss the excerpt of the parable that has been left out from them.
Apr 08 – SSB General Assembly
In order to fulfill the Spiritist Society’s responsibilities, every year, the board of directors will revisit to our community, the SSB mission statement, discuss new ideas and present our financial report. Please, join us to know more about the SSB. (This event won’t be webcast)
April 15 – Parable of the Shrewd Manager

Leo will continue a series of talks exploring Christ’s teachings and how to apply them in our lives. In this presentation he will reflect on the Parable of the Shrewd Manager found in Lk. 16:1-13 of the New Testament.
Apr 22 – Acquiring Conscientiousness | Part 2 – Ch.1

Kirsten continues the study series of the book, “Times of Health & Conscientiousness” by the spirit Joanna de Angelis, through the medium Divaldo Franco. In this presentaiton she will discuss Part 2 – “Acquiring Conscientiousness”
April 29 – Strange Words

We all have our personal ways to read and interpret scripture. However, there are techniques that may be applied to enhance our experience. We will approach one of these techniques briefly, and use most of the lecture to apply it in the interpretation of one of Jesus’s strange morals, ‘Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword…’ (Matthew 10:34–36). This passage and our troubled times go hand in glove, and it is important that we understand the Master’s words so we may better prepare ourselves for a spiritually healthy life in the physical plane.
This talk will be followed by Light Dinner Fundraiser (Soup, Salad, Fruits and Sandwiches…)
